Application for Appointment to County of Wellington Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee

The County of Wellington is seeking a Town of Minto Representative to join the Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee. The community member must be actively involved with organizations for people with disabilities, be a caregiver for people with disabilities, or a person living with a disability as defined by the Ontario Human Rights Code.

The Accessibility Advisory Committee meets four times per year, in Aboyne or other locations agreed upon by the Committee. Committee members will be compensated for mileage and per diem.

The mandate of the Accessibility Advisory Committee is to:

  • Advise all member Municipal Councils and the County proper on the identification, removal and prevention of barriers to people with disabilities, including the preparation, review and evaluation accessibility plans.
  • Advise all member Municipal Councils and the County proper on other accessibility-related issues within the County.
