The County of Wellington and the Town of Minto, in partnership, have initiated planning for the Reconstruction of Wellington Road 123 (Main Street East and West), between approximately 400 meters west of Toronto Street to 140 meters east of King’s Highway 23, Palmerston.
The project will be completed over two construction seasons. Work under sections 1 and 3 will maintain one lane of traffic under temporary traffic control, while work under section 2 will be constructed under a full road closure to allow for efficient completion of extensive underground and surface works. Driveways and pedestrian access will be managed by temporary re-routing as required throughout the stages of construction. Project completion date is March 2028.
- Section 1 - Toronto Street to Cumberland Street (Early Spring 2026 to late fall)
- Section 3 - Lorne Street to East of Highway 23 (Early Spring 2026 to late fall)
- Section 2 - Cumberland Street to Lorne Street (Early Spring 2027 to late fall)
