Minto Means Business: Business Retention & Expansion

Updated: Nov 27, 2025

Minto Means Business is a local initiative dedicated to strengthening and supporting the businesses that drive our community. Through direct outreach, one-on-one conversations, and data-driven planning, we’re working to better understand the needs of our business community and identify opportunities for growth across Clifford, Harriston, Palmerston, and Minto Township. Whether you're a long-standing business or just getting started, this project is about building a stronger Minto together.

Business Retention & Expansion Project

The Town of Minto is committed to supporting a strong and resilient local economy, and that starts with listening to and learning from the businesses that already call Minto home. Minto Means Business is a new initiative focused on connecting with business owners, understanding their needs, and helping shape the future of economic development in our community.

Whether you’ve been in business for decades or are just getting started, we’re here to support your success - because in Minto, business matters.

After meeting with 82 businesses across Minto, the survey portion of this project is complete. Together, we’ll transform what we’ve learned into an action plan that supports growth and success in our community.

Surveys have closed for this project.

Over the summer, we met with 82 businesses across Clifford, Harriston, and Palmerston to hear about their goals, challenges, and ideas.

We are excited to share what we learned and the actions that will help shape the future of business in Minto.
