Minto Residents Invited to Help Shape Attainable/ Affordable Housing Strategy

For Immediate Release: Minto, November 5, 2026

MINTO, ON – The Town of Minto is inviting residents to take part in two (2) community discussions on Thursday, November 12, 2026, to share their housing experiences and help identify the types of attainable/ affordable housing needed in the community.
The Town has selected Grapl Inc., through a Request for Expressions of Interest (REOI) process, to explore potential housing opportunities and assess local housing needs. Community input will be an important part of this work, helping to ensure future housing options reflect the needs and priorities of Minto residents.

"We know that housing needs are changing, and finding options that people can afford and that meet their needs is important to the future of our community," said Mayor Dave Turton. "These discussions are an opportunity for residents to share their experiences and help us better understand what types of housing are needed in Minto."

The sessions are open to residents of all ages, including young adults, families, seniors and those considering a change in their housing. Participants are encouraged to share their experiences with housing availability and affordability, as well as the types of housing, sizes and accessibility features that would best meet their needs.

Residents will also have an opportunity to register their interest in future attainable/ affordable housing opportunities in Minto and receive project updates.

Community Discussion Details: Thursday, November 12, 2026

  • Palmerston Lions Clubhouse – 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. 120 Main Street West, Palmerston
  • Harriston Train Station – 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. 83 Arthur Street West, Harriston
