MEDIA RELEASE - 14th Annual PitchIt! Minto Business Competition Kicks off with over $19,000 in cash and prizes to be won!

Harriston, April 7, 2026:  

The PitchIt! Minto Business Competition, launched in 2012, was created to support the growth of small businesses in Minto and to highlight the many local resources available to entrepreneurs. The Town of Minto, together with the LaunchIt Business Exploration Centre and our generous sponsors, is excited to continue this tradition with PitchIt! 3.0.

This year’s competition is designed for entrepreneurs looking to expand or purchase an existing business, start something new, or relocate a business within the Town of Minto.

Participants will submit a Business Model Canvas (BMC)—a one-page, practical tool that helps entrepreneurs map out, test, and refine their business model. As part of the program, participants will receive coaching on how to complete their BMC, build financials, and deliver a strong pitch.

Thanks to the incredible support of local businesses and partners, prizes will be awarded to the winner and all finalists, with additional customized prizes available based on business needs. In total, more than $19,000 in prizes will be awarded in the 2026 PitchIt! competition.
