Notice of Cancellation - Tonight's Fire and Ice event

PALMERSTON – Due to current and forecasted weather conditions, the Town of Minto, in consultation with the County of Wellington Emergency Measures staff, has made the difficult decision to cancel tonight’s Fire & Ice New Year’s Eve event.

 

Organizers are very disappointed to make the difficult decision to cancel the event, as Fire & Ice is a much-loved community celebration and a highlight for residents and visitors alike. However, the safety of attendees, volunteers, performers, and staff must remain a top priority.

 

Residents are encouraged to enjoy a fun, warm, and cozy New Year’s Eve at home and to help spread the word about the cancellation to friends and neighbours.

 

Plans are underway to reschedule the fireworks show, and details will be shared once confirmed. Residents are encouraged to stay tuned to the Town of Minto’s website and social media channels for any updates.
