Join us at the Minto Arts Gallery for the looking through the glass Exhibition.

Come and join us in hosting this colourful and luminous display of local talent. This is sure to please people of all ages.

This is a stained-glass art show by a local artist Ed Allen. Ed is originally from the Mapleton area where he resided on a farm with his family. He worked at the University of Guelph for many years as an Assistant Manager. Later, he worked in carpentry/contracting or at handyman type jobs and found that he had free time in the winter to pursue other things.

In the late 1980's, his wife decided to sign him up for a stained-glass art class on a whim and that is how it all began. This became his winter pastime, as he continued to take courses in Orangeville, as well as other areas, to continue to learn and grow his skills. His passion for stained glass art continues today and we are fortunate to be able to share in this very unique artform. Ed is retired and now lives in the Mount Forest area and continues to actively pursue his interest in stained glass art.
