Culture Days is a national celebration of arts and culture. At the end of each September, millions of people attend thousands of free participatory arts and culture events across the country both in-person and online. Culture Days programs invite the public to get hands-on and behind-the-scenes to highlight the importance of arts and culture in our communities.

Gather at May's Cafe

Stop by to sample delicious Ghanaian snacks like chips and donuts, explore a vibrant showcase of handcrafted items including bracelets and baskets, and enjoy a video presentation celebrating Ghana’s rich history. Don’t forget to enter the giveaway for a chance to take home something special!
Minto Arts Council, Kaleidoscope presented by the Saugeen Artists Guild

Minto Dance Academy, Movement Workshop

Celebrate Culture Days in motion with Minto Dance Academy’s free movement workshops! Enjoy a fun, welcoming hour of guided dance suitable for all ages and experience levels, starting with a short introduction to the academy’s history. Registration is preferred, but walk-ins are welcome—just bring a water bottle and wear clean socks or go barefoot.

Step into the past with the Minto Back in Time exhibit and explore moments that helped shape our community. Open until October 11, the exhibit welcomes visitors during gallery hours on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10 AM to 3 PM.
Apples & Astronomy (hosted by the Culture Days Committee)

Celebrate the season with Apples and Astronomy, a fun and educational experience for all ages. Tour the apple orchards on Deputy-Mayor Anderson's farm to learn and enjoy delicious apple treats, take part in kids’ activities, and listen to live music by Ebbony Moroz while exploring the wonders of the night sky with astronomer Gordon Duff.
Grey Wellington Theatre Guild's Try-It Theatre Make-Up Class

Brass Ridge Acres, U-Pick Flowers

Enjoy a self-guided Dahlia U-Pick at Brass Ridge Acres, where you can explore rows of vibrant dahlias and cut your favourites to take home in a mason jar of 10–12 stems. All cutting supplies are provided. Pre-registration is required via Instagram (@brassridgeacres), opening September 4th, and will close once maximum capacity for each time slot is reached. Spaces are limited, so register early to secure your spot!
