2010 Municipal Election

Welcome to the Town of Minto’s 2010 Municipal Election Website. 
As information becomes available links will be highlighted in colour.

The Clerk of the Town of Minto is responsible for conducting the Town of Minto Municipal Election.  The next election will occur on October 25th, 2010.

Voters in the Town of Minto will have the opportunity to cast their ballots using vote by mail, in the 2010 Municipal Election for the following offices;

  • Mayor
  • Deputy Mayor
  • Councillors (5 to be elected)
  • Wellington County Councillor
  • Public and Separate School Trustees

The nomination period commenced on January 4th, 2010 at 8:30 a.m. and will be open until September 10th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m.

Qualified electors within the Town of Minto will be casting their ballots in the 2010 Municipal Election by way of Canada Post.  Voter Kits will be mailed to every qualified elector who's name appears on the Voter's List.  Upon receiving the Voter Kit, the elector will complete their Kit and return the ballot package to the Municipal Clerk's Office either through the regular mail or by dropping the ballot package off at one of our ballot return stations.
